A synchronous motor with a permanent magnet rotor delivers high-power drive for spindles. Synchronous motors offer stronger torque and higher speed (up to 500,000 rpm), with a large bore, low rotor temperature and short start-up time. The rotor can be quickly mounted without preheating the rotor or the shaft.
Depending on the operating conditions and performance requirements, we provide surface-mount PM rotors and internal (built-in) PM rotors. In special fields such as high-speed blowers, magnets are sometimes mounted directly onto the shaft; we also offer this service - the customer supplies the shaft and we fit the magnets.
e+a synchronous motors suit a variety of standard synchronous drive systems, and e+a advises customers to ensure motor performance. Our synchronous motors are available in 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pole versions and can use ENCA and ALKA stator designs.
Matching a PM synchronous motor with its drive is more demanding than an asynchronous motor. For common drives on the market (e.g. Siemens, Fanuc, KEB), we provide complete motor parameters and technical guidance.
