Asynchronous Motor Rotor

Asynchronous motor rotors are mainly made of aluminum, copper or alloy. Aluminum rotors are low-cost, light and long-lived, with a maximum surface speed of 130 m/s. Compared with aluminum, copper rotors allow a larger bore diameter at the same performance - i.e. a stiffer spindle. Copper rotors reach 100 m/s and, after our special treatment, up to 170 m/s.
Normally, our rotors ship with a reserved bore that customers machine to their required size. The rotor OD also leaves a small machining allowance; after the rotor is fitted to the arbor, customers grind the OD and perform dynamic balancing. We provide fit tolerances (rotor-to-arbor and rotor-to-stator clearance) and machining/assembly guidance.

e+a Asynchronous Motor

High-speed asynchronous motors are widely used in machine tools, spindles and many other fields. e+a offers a range of asynchronous motors. Compared with other imported motors, our power-to-volume ratio is about 20% higher - the same envelope yields about 20% more power and torque, or the same power/torque in a noticeably smaller size. Our heat loss is typically around 8%, versus 12% or more for other motors. Our motors match many CNC systems and drives on the market, provide at least 30% overload protection, and feature special surface treatment for corrosion, moisture and mechanical damage resistance. Windings can be delta, star or dual-wound to order. Performance curves can be constant torque, or low-speed constant torque / high-speed constant power.
e+a asynchronous motors are available in 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pole versions, with ENCA/ALKA stators and aluminum, copper or alloy rotors.
